Tribute to Chief Dr. Obaro Emmanuel Esieke

Looking back over 60 years of knowing someone, I am reminded of the simple key principles of life such as service, humility, and responsibility. These were the hallmarks embodied by our late dear friend, brother, a successful physician, and a great humanitarian, Chief Dr. Obaro Emmanuel Esieke.

Chief Dr. Esieke was not only a successful clinician but one of the few medical professionals who provided both physiotherapy and medical services in the same clinic. He was a great leader who gave his all in the formation and growth of Notre Dame College Ozoro Old Boys Association at both the national and local levels.

Secundana, as Chief Dr Esieke was fondly called by his schoolmates at NDC hailed from Olomoro, and was forged by the foundry of the great Notre Dame College, Ozoro. He was focused, determined, and brilliant. He received his physiotherapy degree at the University of Ibadan and went on to pursue a medical degree at UNILAG. After a stint with Delta Steel Co Warri, Dr. Esieke decided to establish his private practice which grew to become Kamaro Hospital, one of the foremost medical facilities in the city of Warri, Delta State.

He was a God-fearing man and always welcoming and willing to assist all. Chief Dr. Obaro Emmanuel Esieke, alias Secundana, was also a great family man. He is survived by his wife, several children and grandchildren, and many other relatives.

On behalf of the members of Notre Dame College Ozoro Alumni Association of the Americas (NODACOAM), I offer our sincerest and deepest condolences to the families of our departed brother, Chief Dr. Obaro Emmanuel Esieke.

May Almighty God comfort and console you, and may He strengthen you as you grieve the passing of Chief Dr. Obaro Emmanuel Esieke.

We pray that the Good Lord will kindly receive the soul of Dr. Esieke. May God’s perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful and all who have departed rest in peace. AMEN

Blessing Alabor, Oki
Vice President, NODACOAM
