Tribute to Frank Edoja Oziwo from his Alumni Family @ NODACOAM

Frank Oziwo, aka Sammy Davis Jr, his idol, and for his love for music and showmanship joined our beloved NDC(Notre Dame College) Boys group as a transfer student from Urhobo College Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria in 1965. He was a member of the 1967 class of NDC. Frank did his higher school (Advanced Level studies) at Government College Ughelli (GCU) in 1968 and emigrated to the US in 1969. The Boys at NDC also nicknamed our beloved Frank “Godogodo” by nature of his tall and lanky stature akin to members of the spear units of the Nigerian army during the Nigeria’s civil war.

Frank was a quiet fun-loving guy and a brilliant student at NDC. He loved poetry and drama. As I recall, his favorite subject was literature; the man could recite Shakespeare’s Macbeth verses with ease. We all will listen with envy, and we love him for this extraordinary gift.

Soft spoken as he was, Frank was also an outstanding athlete, representing NDC at track meets in hurdles and jumps.

Brother Frank was a God fearing and family man. You will be greatly missed as we pray  that our Gracious Father will kindly admit you into His presence IJMN we pray, AMEN.

And to you his family, may the Almighty God grant you His peace, strengthen and  comfort you in these difficult times. May the memory of Frank be a blessing to all of us.  Adieu, Frank, till we meet again in heaven, we pray. AMEN

On behalf of NODACOAM members.
